Recording

Each year we elect a recording chair, and it is their responsibility to organize and orchestrate recording sessions so that we can continue adding to The Stereotype’s digital archive. In doing so, we cement our voices in cyberspace, where we can play it for our kids, our kid’s kids, and maybe even their kids! (disclaimer, the effect of becoming a stereotype on overall lifespan is not yet known)

Arranging

Everything we sing is arranged by us, whether that be current members, alumni, or both. This is our only real constraint when it comes to repertoire, which means we get to experience a truly wide variety of genres and sounds! We often hold arranging workshops where any of us that are currently working on a song can get ideas and feedback or even learn the basics of making arrangements from scratch. We have a catalogue of over 25 years’ worth of original arrangements to choose from each year, with new ones coming out all the time!
